 How about this, two desserts in one? Halloween is all about the sweet treats. This one’s a cake and Cheesecake all in one delicious dessert.

We had a blast making this cheesecake. To create the recipe, all we did was think of a delicious cookie that everyone loves and try to reinvent as a cheesecake. This tastes just like Oreos. It’s the perfect dessert for your Halloween themed party! Your guests will be applauding how cute this cheesecake is and they’ll be asking you for the recipe.

Spiderweb Cheesecake

Black Velvet Cake ingredients

  • 1 box French vanilla cake mix
  • 1 C whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 bottle of black food coloring
  • Pam Baking Spray

Oreo Cheesecake Ingredients

  • 4 -8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 15 oreos crushed

Sour Cream Topping

  • 1 1/2 C sour cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Black gel food coloring


Black Velvet Cake Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line the bottom of the springform pan with parchment paper and spray the springform pan with baking spray
  2. Using a hand mixer, beat together the cake mix, butter, milk, cocoa and eggs until combined
  3. Beat in the 1 oz black food coloring
  4. Pour the cake batter into the springform pan and bake for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  5. Allow to cool completely

Oreo Cheesecake Directions

  1. In a standing mixer, combine the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla
  2. Mix until combined
  3. Crack one egg at a time, mix well before cracking the next egg
  4. Mix in the crushed Oreos
  5. Pour the cheesecake over the cooled cake and bake for 1 hour or until cheesecake
  6. is set

Sour Cream Directions

  1. When the cheesecake is done baking, remove from the oven & increase the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Mix together the sour cream, sugar & vanilla.
  3. Scoop 3 tbsp of the white mixture into the piping bag and set aside
  4. Mix in a few drops of the black gel food coloring
  5. Pour over cheesecake
  6. Using the piping bag, pipe out what i call “Pie slice lines” this will act as the main lines for the spider web
  7. Next pipe half-moon circles in between each line to complete the web
  8. Bake for 7 minutes at 450 degrees.
  9. Let the cheesecake cool completely then cover & chill overnight in the fridge.
  10. Enjoy!!!
