These Apple Dumplings are the easiest baked apple dumplings EVER! They’re made with crescent rolls, then baked with butter-cinnamon sugar perfection- plus some sparkling water or you can use a lemon-lime soda! Try them- you’ll love them! Some of the ingredients might make you wonder, but trust me on this one: these are impossibly delicious. They taste like a small piece of apple tart heaven! They’re best when served immediately, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- 2 cans crescent dough 16 oz. worth, combined – each can should be able to make 8 crescents
- 2 medium sized apples peeled, cored and sliced into 8 pieces each apple
- 1.5 sticks butter melted
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 2/3 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
- Vanilla ice cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray a rectangular baking pan, 13×9 inches in size, with cooking spray (generously).
Roll out your crescent dough on a clean, flat working surface. Place apple slice on one triangular dough (at the end, the widest parand roll until you reach the other end (the point).
Place each apple crescent gently on the baking pan.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together melted butter, both sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Pour the sugar mixture evenly over your crescent rolls.
Pour sparkling water into pan, taking care to not pour it on top of the crescent rolls.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Serve warm with a side of vanilla ice cream.
