2019 Cookies

I can hardly believe it’s that time of year again! The time of year to reflect the past 365 days we’ve cherished and looking forward to the new 2-0-1-9 year! Wow, I don’t know about you all, but I have a feeling that 2019 will be a very wonderful year! I’ve already set so many goals and I AM EXCITED to see what’s to come!

These cookies are so easy make for any party you’re going too or if you’re like me a family party at home. Simply bake your favorite sugar cookies (You can always buy store bought if you’re in a rush) Cut out some fondant circle rounds, add 2019 to the top of the cookies then try not to eat them until New Year’s Eve (That’s the hard part!)

2019 Cookies

Ingredients

  • Sugar cookie dough enough to make 12 cookies, cut out into circles about 2.5 inches in diameter
  • 5-6 oz. black fondant
  • White decorating frosting
  • Edible food glitter

Instructions

  1. Cut cookies into 2.5-inch circles using a cookie cutter. Bake cookies according to recipe directions and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Roll out your fondant so that it’s about ¼ of an inch thick.
  3. Press the circle fondant pieces on each cookie.
  4. With your decorating frosting, frost out “2019” on each cookie.
  5.  Sprinkle the entire cookie with food glitter.
  6.  Serve and enjoy!
