I can hardly believe it’s that time of year again! The time of year to reflect the past 365 days we’ve cherished and looking forward to the new 2-0-1-9 year! Wow, I don’t know about you all, but I have a feeling that 2019 will be a very wonderful year! I’ve already set so many goals and I AM EXCITED to see what’s to come!
These cookies are so easy make for any party you’re going too or if you’re like me a family party at home. Simply bake your favorite sugar cookies (You can always buy store bought if you’re in a rush) Cut out some fondant circle rounds, add 2019 to the top of the cookies then try not to eat them until New Year’s Eve (That’s the hard part!)
- Sugar cookie dough enough to make 12 cookies, cut out into circles about 2.5 inches in diameter
- 5-6 oz. black fondant
- White decorating frosting
- Edible food glitter
Cut cookies into 2.5-inch circles using a cookie cutter. Bake cookies according to recipe directions and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
Roll out your fondant so that it’s about ¼ of an inch thick.
Press the circle fondant pieces on each cookie.
With your decorating frosting, frost out “2019” on each cookie.
Sprinkle the entire cookie with food glitter.
Serve and enjoy!
