Easter Pretzel Nests

Looking for something fun to make with the kids this Easter holiday? Look no further: I’ve got the cutest Easter Pretzel Nests for you to put together. All it takes is some melted chocolate and crushed pretzels to create these cute Easter treats. I’ll be putting together Easter dinner for the entire family this year. I figured, I needed as many simple recipes as possible. (I’ve got lots of hungry mouths to feed!) What’s great about these Easter nests is that you can be creative as you’d like! Use different colored eggs or even opt for marshmallow-shaped baby chicks. The sky’s the limit! What are your plans for this Easter? Got any fun desserts that you’ll be making/baking?

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels broken into little pieces
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Green food coloring
  • Candy eggs
  • Butter for coating

Instructions

  1. Take a muffin tin and coat each section generously with butter

  2. Using the double boiler method, melt chocolate chips. Remove from heat and fold in pretzels.
  3. In clumps, place coated pretzels in muffin tin, forming the shape of a nest (ie.: with a bit of an indent in the center)
  4. Allow to cool completely (about 1 hour) and remove from muffin tin. Frost the center and add candy eggs. Enjoy!
